Definition of Connected

In this context I mean that more and more systems are ‘talking’ to each other.  Your home PC ‘talks’ to web servers, a mobile phone can connect to a MP3 downloading service, you can download a TV programme from the Internet, a cruise missile is given in-flight targeting updates, etc, etc.

 

This is all part of the ‘information age’, the ‘global village’, we, and the items we own, ‘connect’ more with far flung people and machines.
